Whole Numbers Up To 1000

1.1 Name and determine the value of numbers

(ii) Determine the value of numbers up to 1000:
(a) show the quantity of numbers mentioned by using objects, pictures, number lines and abacus 4:1,
(b) match groups of object with numbers,
(c) arrange group of objects, picture cards and number cards in ascending and descending order,
(d) compare two numbers and say any number in between. 



Pupils/class say the number represented by the blocks picture cards. A pupil takes a block picture card randomly. Another pupil find and take the numeral card that match with the block picture card.


















6 pupils take these number cards randomly and line up.
Pupils/class say the numbers, one by one.
The 6 pupils arrange the numbers in ascending order.
Pupils/class say the numbers, one by one in ascending order.
Pupils/class are asked to say the numbers in between.
E.g: Say the number between 140 and 142.
Say the numbers between 141 and 144.


These number cards are passed to other 6 pupils randomly.
The pupils arrange the numbers in descending order.



Pupils/class say the numbers, one by one in descending order.
